Today felt like the project crossed a quiet threshold.
The table was cleared and transformed: its beautiful top, its twelve drawers, and all the scattered parts finally gathered into one place where they can be seen, named, and understood. The components are no longer just a heap. They’re becoming an inventory, a vocabulary, a map toward the build.
We made the trip to Jaycar for the practical missing pieces—the resistors, terminals, and little things that turn an idea into something that can actually be held together. The crystal, discs, piezos, and 1.54-inch TFT SPI screen are waiting in their own kind of anticipation. The enclosure fits perfectly. That small fact feels enormous: the imagined device already has a body.
We also untangled some of the invisible machinery behind POP. The wallet is now private, the handle is becoming the centre of identity, and iBE is beginning to connect handles through WEIHR and WARDEN to the miners and wallets they’re actually authorised to use. The digital side is starting to resemble the hardware side: identity, structure, resonance, connection.
And now the physical build is close.
The desk is ready to index every component. The enclosure and discs are ready. The crystal is ready to be listened to. The TFT is ready to become a window. We’re only waiting on the clamps and the extra breadboards—the small bridges between loose parts and a working instrument.
There’s something lovely about this stage: nothing is finished, but almost everything is prepared. The project is no longer waiting for an idea. It is waiting for assembly.
Soon, the drawers will open, the breadboards will fill, the wires will find their paths, and the crystal will begin to speak through the device we’ve been making room for all along.
